Paul Millsap is an American basketball player who plays in the National Basketball Association (NBA) as a power forward for the Denver Nuggets.

A four-time NBA All-star, Millsap is recognized as one of the key players in the Western Conference. Since he enlisted in the 2006 NBA draft, he has progressed to become a solid figure for each of his teams.

Paul Millsap was born on February 10, 1985 in Monroe, Louisiana, the second of four brothers.  At the end of his senior year at Grambling High School, Millsap who was named to the Parade All-American fourth team was crowned Mr. Basketball for the state of Louisiana.

College Career

After graduating from high school, Millsap went on to attend Louisiana Tech University where he emerged as the top and only player on the NCAA rebounds chart. In his sophomore and junior year, he was honored by being named to the All-Western Athletic Conference (WAC). He decided to forfeit his remaining year in college to enlist in the 2006 NBA draft.

In the 2006 NBA Draft, Millsap was picked by the Utah Jazz as its 46th overall pick. In the 2010/11 season, he became the Utah Jazz’ permanent power forward and reached a career-high shot up - to 47 points in November 2010

2013-16

ATLANTA HAWKS
Power Forward

In July 2013, Millsap joined the Atlanta Hawks where he was selected as an Eastern Conference, NBA All-Star for each year of his four-year commitment with the team.

2017-Current

DENVER NUGGETS
Power Forward

In July 2017, Millsap agreed to a three-year contract with the Denver Nuggets where he continues to be a consistent presence of leadership for the young team.

His leadership was most evident during the 2020 Western Conference Semifinals where the Nuggets made history, standing alone as the first team ever to secure back-to-back postseason series wins after trailing 3-1. 

In late December 29, 2020, Paul reached 1,000 career games, a tremendous milestone and nod to his commitment to CPI, Constant Perpetual Improvement. More to come!
